NLCI Names Preschool Teacher of the Year

WEST CHESTER, PA. (Nov. 9, 2009) - Nobel Learning Communities, Inc., is pleased to announce that Bob Ryan, preschool teacher at Discovery Isle in San Marcos, Calif., has been named Preschool Teacher of the Year. Ryan was nominated by parents, the school's principal, teachers and staff members to receive this national recognition and was chosen from among preschool teachers in 135 preschools in 15 states across the country. This award was formally presented at Nobel Learning's national principal's conference, which was recently held in Las Vegas.

As Preschool Teacher of the Year, Ryan was recognized for his dedication both inside and outside the classroom, as well as his ability to provide young children with a strong foundation in all areas - socially, emotionally and academically. Ryan began teaching 16 years ago and has been teaching at Discovery Isle for nine years.

"We are overjoyed to have Bob named Preschool Teacher of the Year," said Christy Lang, Principal of Discovery Isle School. "Bob has a true love for his job and his enthusiasm and dedication shines through in the classroom. He is a wealth of knowledge to both students and his peers and we are truly appreciative of all that he does for our school."

Nobel Learning Communities' Teacher of the Year program recognizes teachers who stand out by demonstrating a strong commitment to inspire, motivate and educate students and staff alike. Along with the title Preschool Teacher of the Year, Ryan received $2,000 in cash, stock options, a round trip airline ticket to anywhere in the U.S., and an all-expense paid trip to the national conference in Las Vegas.

"I feel humbled by this honor and thankful to be part of such a fantastic and caring community," said Bob Ryan. "In a preschool environment, its not just about supporting children; it's about supporting parents and making sure each family receives the knowledge they need to learn and grow together. Everyday I get the opportunity to shape the lives and futures of children and this award has really reinforced the feeling that I'm making a difference."
