Joy Dasgupta, principal of The Honor Roll School in Sugar Land, receives national recognition
SUGAR LAND, Texas (Nov. 2009) - The Honor Roll School is proud to announce that principal Joy Dasgupta has been named Preschool Principal of the Year by its parent organization, Nobel Learning Communities, Inc. Dasgupta received the honor at Nobel Learning Communities' annual principal's conference, which was recently held in Las Vegas.
"Joy embodies a great leader. Her intelligence, compassion, humility, and team player approach are endearing qualities that make her a wonderful principal," said Dr. Asha Virani, parent of a student at The Honor Roll School. "When you walk through the doors of The Honor Roll School you immediately notice that Joy knows each and everyone one of her students by name. As a parent, I find it very comforting to know that my child and I are apart of such a nurturing community."
The Preschool Principal of the Year award is presented each year to a principal who stands out among Nobel Learning Communities' preschools across the country for inspiring and motivating both students and staff.

As an educator, I believe learning must be a joyful experience that gives students the ability to explore a variety of opportunities and thus create ideas and dreams with confidence," said Joy Dasgupta. A resident of Sugar Land, Texas, Dasgupta holds a Bachelor of Arts in early education, a master's degree in world literature, and a London Montessori Certification. She has been with The Honor Roll School for 16 years, and an educator for 28 years.
