WEST CHESTER, PA. (Nov. 9, 2009) - Nobel Learning Communities, Inc., is pleased to announce that Quinn Letan, principal of Merryhill School in Milpitas, Calif., has been named Elementary Principal of the Year. Letan received the honor at Nobel Learning Communities' annual principal's conference, which was recently held in Las Vegas.
"We couldn't ask for a better principal. Ms. Quinn is extremely deserving of this award because of her tireless commitment to our school and its families, said Hang Pham, a parent at Merryhill School. "She takes on many roles that you wouldn't typically expect from a principal and is very hands-on. Ms. Quinn is also an excellent communicator and problem solver. She really listens to our needs and desires and takes parent feedback to heart."
The Elementarty Principal of the Year award is presented each year to a principal who stands out among Nobel Learning Communities' elementary schools across the country for inspiring and motivating both students and staff.
"I was totally surprised and very humbled to receive this honor," said Letan. "Everyone at Merryhill contributed to this win. My teaching staff who believed in the direction we needed to take and the changes we need to implement, and my students and families who allow me to live my dream of being a principal every single day. I'm deeply honored."

A resident of San Jose, Calif., Letan holds a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education from the University of Houston in Clear Lake and is currently working on her Masters of Arts in education administration from National University. She has been with Meryhill School for 8 years and an educator for more than 13 years.
